More photos of Ross Castle in Killarney National Park... You might be able to make me out climbing up a staircase jutting out from the castle wall near one of the fortified towers. Ross Castle was the last stronghold in Munster to hold out against Cromwell. It was eventually taken by General Ludlow in 1652.
